COVERAGE OVERVIEW As a member of the Missouri National Guard you are eligible to apply for Life Insurance through the Missouri National Guard Association Insurance Trust. This program is called State Sponsored Life Insurance. The SSLI insurance rates are extremely competitive and in most cases are lower than any rate offered by a commercial life insurance company. One major benefit of SSLI is that claims are usually paid within 24 hours after notification. Serviceman's Group Life Insurance (SGLI) can take up to 30 days to pay. This may be a factor in helping you determine if you need one of our SSLI products.
